Instituting the draft will be good for America? I find this odd coming from someone who has served. Perhaps you have seen both the draft military and the all volunteer military, I only saw one side of it.

Depending on the urgency I think a better allocation of resources would be to offer more incentive for people to join the Army and the Marines. I am guessing the Air Force and the USN are not having much difficulty with filling positions. But today one who joins the Army or USMC can be pretty darn certain they will see some tough duty in Iraq or Afghanistan or perhaps Iran next.

Unless the situation so dire that most everyone MUST serve and there is ample for them to do, then only some will be drafted.

I dont think a military full of people not happy to be drafted will be meet our nations needs.
