I was just giving you the scope of al Qaeda's ambitions. You said that they were not interested in world wide conquest. I was merely showing, that while their aims are not world wide, it amounts to a gigantic land mass stretching from the Atlantic Ocean to the South Pacific (and over 3 continents) and hundreds of millions of people (well over a billion, if you include India, which has the worlds second largest moslem population).

Hitler had a desire to "unify" all German speaking peoples, and "cleanse" the region of the "influence" of Jews. Since ethnic Germans lived in territory that stretched from Eastern France to the Ukraine, Hitler had aims that stretched (and included) from France to the Soviet Union. Bin Laden has a desire "unify" all countries where Arabic is spoken (which is basically every moslem country, since the Koran is in Arabic), and wishes to cleanse out he "influence" of Westerners, especially Americans (I presume he believes Jews are "westerners") - a larger area with a larger population.
