I've seen pictures of those contraptions. http://www.segway.com/ They look interesting, but me, I like more metal between me and the road. I'd like to know more about your experience with it. The only other person I know of who tried one is President Bush.

I bet if the Chinese need to they can build them, never mind the trade balance. I have to look carefully these days whenever I buy something. My latest chagrin happened when I chose a Kodak instant camera over a Fuji only to find that the dang thing was made in China. So much for brand loyalty, eh?

Say, what is the latitude of Auckland? From pictures of NZ I've seen, it seems very congenial. And by the way, how's the winter going? It's high summer here now. Fireworks in the cul de sac tonight in honor of the Declaration of Independence. Now there's a landmark even in foreign affairs for you!
