If I recall, Henderson isn't exactly the garden spot of the USA either. That's just a brown piece of desert not unlike most of the SW, no? No ocean view either.
All I see feeding it is California refugees escaping the loss of prop 13 benefits (new set of prperty taxes) when they sell their California home.

I'm kind of baffled on who's buying all these high priced California homes and the high tax bills that come with them.

If I was running the BLM, I'd divest the US of all the worthless desert anywhere near Las Vegas! The desert around there doesn't really have much to recommend it, and I LIKE the desert!
