Why should Glenn have to do that, it's not his kid?

Kerry says life begins at conception, but that he doesn't want to impose his "religious" views on others. But the fact that life begins at conception is not an article of religion, it is a fact.

So I don't see why he is dragging religion into this at all, it has nothing to do with religion.

The issue is under what circumstances should a woman be allowed to terminate a human life that she and her partner have created. That is not a religious issue, it is a legitimate concern of the state, and we need not delve into theology to address it.
