If you had enough enlistees, you could do the same thing Of course. My point all along has been that we don't. The problem is we don't. We are not turning away qualified enlistees. We cannot get enough. Therefore we need the draft. I said in the very beginning of this little debate that I believe military end strength is being manipulated by recruiting command's ability to get volunteers rather than current needs. I do not believe we could increase active duty strength by even 5% without the draft. uw
