Mc Veigh never killed anybody with a firearm (except in Iraq with his Bradly Fighting Vehicle). The Federalist Papers make it clear the Framers intent was to protect the right to keep and bear FIREARMS, e.g. small arms. Also don't forget who the police get their membership from...the group of people called law abiding citizens. Perhaps you missed the civil rights movement where corrupt southern police officer's were also members of the KKK. But you have no problem with the police owning machine guns?
