Mephisto, you're not suggesting that GW should have bolted away from that group of tots are you? That's a fav ploy of the rabid liberals. Pres Bush reacted as a responsible adult(who knew all that could be done was being done in NYC) by continuing to read to the school children. If he jumped up, yelling "I'm outta here!", the Dems would be ridiculing that today as well. Bush knew national & state crisis management had already kicked in & that he would be kept continuously informed of developments, there was no reason to be melodramatic for the cameras.
