You post interesting links -- although I see nothing that adds to the debate over the role of the US invasion in destroying what was left of the ancient heritage of Iraq. Iraq under US occupation has been characterized by one thing above all -- lawlessness. A force large enough to kill off the existing government but far too small and poorly configured to establish a new government gave rise to looting and crime of all kinds. We did little to build a nation, but we did one hell of a job in destroying what was there.
