Hi Bill, If you've read any of my posts, you know I'm generally from a right-of-center point of view. 1. You think physical torture of people -- some of whom were rounded up via "guilt-by-association" techniques is ok ? I don't, and I fully understand the urgency to obtain actionable intelligence. Torture and oppression have a way of backfiring on ya. Ooops ! It already did. 2. Yeah if all they did was make them do naked group hugs, then I'm ok with that. Unfortunately we all know that they did A LOT WORSE. I don't consider dying a desirable outcome from a fraternity prank. Chris

I guess you just can't get it into your head that we were picking up people in sweeps and torturing them? Sometimes we tortured people into naming somebody so we'd stop torturing them, and then we'd torture those people. By the hundreds these people who are acknowledged now to have committed no offences (except to be Iraqis, and in the wrong place at sweeps time, and I understand that to you "Iraqi" means "savage vermin") are being released to tell everyone what the Americans did to them in Saddam's prison, Abu Ghrai..................f . Do you understand that violating their religious and social taboos is not the only torture that was perpetrated? Do you know how peculiar it is of you to read about tortures including rape, sodomy, breaking bones, beating the wounds you've previously inflicted, beating to death, electricity, etc etc etc, and repeatedly respond as though you were a self-sealing tire, "panties, penis, frat house." It makes you seem very odd. Are you going to keep doing it? It has a certain abstract interest to me, actually, it's such a primitive reflex. There are hundreds of photos that haven't been released. Many of them show what was done to women prisoners.
