In California the SBE adopts and shapes curriculum, designed by other state planners. I happen to know some teachers who have been on state curriculum committees- I've met them at conferences, and the NEA doesn't have anything to do with the curriculum committees I've heard about. The SBE is made up of teachers, appointed by the governor. So in California- that's who does.

In California I have seen no evidence that the NEA has any interest in eliminating history programs. Since you apparently do not know who designs the curriculum where you are, whatsay you look that up, and THEN get back to me on how the NEA is eliminating history classes. Or, if you cannot find any evidence of the NEA eliminating history classes, how about you come and tell me that?
