Tuesday, July 6, 2004: Bush Touts McCain, Mocks Edwards as Kerry's Second Choice

That new TV ad for President Bush featuring John McCain points out that John Edwards is John Kerry's second choice as a running mate.

In the commercial, titled "First Choice," Sen. McCain praises the president he sometimes clashes with. "He has not wavered, he has not flinched from the hard choices, he was determined and remains determined to make this world a better, safer, freer place. He deserves not only our support but our admiration."

Story Continues Below

And: "America is under attack by depraved enemies who oppose our every interest and hate every value we hold dear. It is the great test of our generation, and he has led with great moral clarity and firm resolve."
As the Associated Press noted today: "Last month, McCain - Bush's rival for the GOP presidential nomination in 2000 - rejected the notion of a bipartisan ticket with Kerry, and shortly thereafter appeared with Bush."

The Republican National Committee said: "John Kerry was against John Edwards before he was for him. But now he's his running mate. Who is John Edwards? A disingenuous, unaccomplished liberal and friend to personal injury trial lawyers."

But he's so pretty.

Hmmm...

I didn't realize Bush was on a working vacation 42% of his first year. Fire him!

Surely you've read the following article as well. Should Kerry be fired too? Or are you just playing politics?

LOL! You almost had me there but then I looked at your source.......the Boston Herald. That's funny!

Just for the record, I don't believe anything that's said in the WA Times, the Boston Herald, the NY Post, the NRO and Fox News. Those media publications and broadcast are the 21st century's equivalent of yellow journalism. They leave the truth at the door and make it up as they go along.

Nice try, but we are on to the games of the right. We've had four long, ugly years to learn.

And jlallen, you are just a big ole wuss pie with not much between the top and bottom crusts except fruit filling. ;~)
