China to start friendly forex policy for MNCs from Aug 1

BEIJING: China will begin a new foreign exchange policy on non-trade transactions of multinational firms on August 1, the foreign exchange regulator said on Monday.

The move was aimed at “creating favourable conditions for the normal operation of multinationals,” the State Administration of Foreign Exchange (SAFE) quoted its vice-director Li Dongrong as saying in a speech earlier this month.
