Questionable when yahoo is easy pluckings for them.

What do you mean?

ebay vs. yahoo is an interesting study in options. I havent looked at ebay's distribution of options at the top vs. everybody else. Yahoo with Terry Semel has cut back on options dramatically.

Yahoo is falling apart imho. Terrible service, this weekend links from yahoo finance page didn't work, email from my yahoo hung up, yahoo movies was down and the msg boards were crashing. I can't think of *any reason* yahoo shouldn't be running like a finely tuned machine right now. It is summer which is traditionally slow for the portals, and there is still a huge excess in qualified personnel in technology so yahoo has the pick of the litter as far as staff.

Ebay is rocking. Paypal is starting to dominate business commerce.

I'm hoping for good numbers from both companies soon which will be a refreshing change from all these warnings.
