Blair and John McCain have both been hurt by Bush.
McCain, being a loyal Republican said those words, looking down at his speech for Bush a hundred times to show he was reading it. Easy to tell he was not sincere.

I thing Mr. McCain and Mr. Blair have the same queezy feeling in their tummys.
They did what they had to IMO. They can get better.
Takes guts.

Blair has integrity & political courage. He does the right thing without concern for his own reelection. John Kerry could use some lessons from Tony Blair on that score.

Blair lost both houses because of Bush. His party went from #1 to #3 in the last election...

What are you talking about? GB has not held a national election this year, though I do recall some local contests. As of January 5, 2004, the makeup of the House of Commons was Labor 408, Conservatives 163, Liberal Democrats 54 and Other 34.
