Well if guns were banned 20 years from the genocide, does a new political party such as the Khmer Rouge or the Nazis for that matter really need to ban guns a second time if the first ban has already worked its magic? And if you think bad things can't happen here, check out our own sad history versus the American Indians, Blacks, and Japanese Americans. Maybe you think we should all go gunless until its obvious that something bad might happen here. Unfortunately it will be too late by then. If you think this is paranoia, then so is taking an umbrella to work and fastening your seatbelt. When I was in scouts it was called being prepared just in case.
