"I thought we were talking on the national level"

Even here, you sight Bush and Kerry, but ignore Edwards, Clinton and Reagan who started with very little. You need to ascend to the Presidency, and nobody could start from scratch, with or without money.

"your America is a fantasy shared by few"

Your America is misery, unfortunately shared by many. Nut the opportunity for happiness is here. Perhaps more than any place on earth. And certainly more than the vast majority of places on earth. You choose to percieve it that way, and you are the one who has to live with your choice.

"how many people do you know can mortgage a $6 million mortgage?"

Probably not very many. But an irrelevent observation imo.

"People like you see one or two and you think everyone can do it."

Thank you. I try to be a positive person. There are a lot more than one or two though. Of the last 4 Presidents, 50% started very low. Don't want to add Carter necesarily because I don't know for sure about his beginnings. I know he was a peanut farmer. If he started from humble beginnings then the percentage of the last 5 Presidents (th emost powerful position on earth) goes up to 60%. Not bad imo.

"So then you think its okay that it costs a million dollars to run for the House of Rep.?"

It's just a fact of life that running for national office costs some $. Doesn't bother me, no. Most don't use their own money, they raise it throgh fund raising. Note that if you've got nothing to offer, nobody will chip in. If you do, they will. You gotta work for this political capital. See Bill Clinton as a good example.

"No, I won't do your homework for you."

LOL. Starting to think you are not too smart. When you make a charge, you back it up. When I make one, I back it up. Talk about being lazy. I never make charges I can't back up. On the occasions that I have when mis informed or just incorrect, I acknowledge it. Too many on the left thing it is fine to hate people, ideas and policies just for the sake of it, and don't care whether the facts back them up or not. THAT is lazy.

Still chuckling over this charge. You charge Bush is a liar, and up to me to go prove that for you? Had to type ut again I am in such disbelief of your "logic".

And I will note - YOU COULD NOT (or would not) back up your own charge.

"Distrustful of a president and VP who mislead us "

They didn't mislead us. But since you need no back up for your positions, you can safely delude yourself.

Thanks. Good close to this exchange.
