That would be an interesting turn of events. But wasn't North Carolina one of the few states he got?

Edwards will probably deliver North Carolina for Kerry.
The polls before Edwards even joined the ticket showed Bush with only a small lead. Edwards is now the pride and joy of North Carolina. Also, he has shown an uncanny ability to attract conservative white male voters, surprisingly even more than female voters. The Bush campaign puts out BS like "Edwards cant even carry his own state" becasuse they are dreadfully afraid now that they have already lost this election, maybe even in a humiliating landslide. If nother else, NC will be close now and Bush wil have to spend time and money there. Ditto other southern states. Edwards is also very popular in white northern Florida, a former Bush stronghold.
