I don't dispute that a nurse knows more than I do about medicine, in general (but far less than doctors or specialists in their fields). I do dispute that a soldier or a nurse knows diddly about med mal trials. Stick to your soldiering and you're on safe ground.

I wouldn't go to a nurse for treatment of neurological disease or injury, I have a very good doctor at Johns Hopkins for that. When I had an oncology case involving radiation treatment of Hodgkins Disease, I hired the doctor at Stanford who invented the treatment. And so forth.
