One of my best friends is a Palauan. She is very proud of her heritage, the men of her island and their dedication to freedom and democracy. Palauans never forgot the virtual take over of their nation by the Japanese during WW2, and the subjugation her people felt at their hands. The children born after that generation have been taught to love and defend the freedom and liberty the people of the US fought and died for during that war. They are taught that they will never again surrender their nation to tyrants, and have vowed to support any country willing to defend those values. That is why Palau is a member of the coalition of the willing, and your disparaging these great and proud people is a cheap shot. M
