One thing to consider, though, is the Clinton factor. If Kerry-Edwards wins, Hillary's plans for 2008 are dead. If Kerry-Edwards loses, Edwards then becomes the front-runner for 2008, once again threatening Hillary's ambitions. You can bet that Hillary knows this, too, as she's in her backroom discussions, swearing like a sailor and making plans for her future.

I think you're right. I think its Kerry/Edward til 2012. Then Edwards/? til 2020. Hillary doesn't really have a chance......she's a woman in a strongly patriarchal society and she's ahead of her time. By 2020, though, there will be a strong, very likable Dem. woman and she will take the baton from Edwards.
