My feeling is it's their civil war to fight. To them, we're just more foreigners with an agenda. The best thing we could do is just get out of the way, keep others out and let them settle it.

Why was Halliburton there? Why did we take US bodyguards for American workers. Nonsensical imperialism, is it not? You are probably one of those who has no experience with foreign situation like GWB and hence have nothing better to than to spin this situation.

Bush got beat royally in Iraq. When he was asked in February whom he was going to hand over sovereignty to he had no answer.

Why did Bush flip-flop and let the bad guys take over big sections of Iraq? Just a month ago he was talking tough like we were going to take the fight to them. I guess every election year Bush will say or do anything Karl Rove tells him too, even hand over the country to others and pull back. However true internationalization only John Kerry can do right. NATO will continue resisting Bush until after election day. They all want him out.
