I'll admit that I didn't call it (Edwards).

I thought Kerry would feel too upstaged by Edwards (which appears to already be happening).

Also, if was going to be Edwards, why not select him
earlier?

I suspect that the answer to the last question is
that Edwards was quite a ways down on Kerry's list,
despite public "beauty contest" polls to the contrary.
