NBC poll had Edwards beating Cheney handily as the man the american people would want as president if the then president died.

Just remember Mike, that polls in the same time frame show that Edwards is virtually unknown by 51% of the population. This means that that poll is really "Cheney vs any Dem. "

If think if Powell would take it, Bush would have him in a heart beat. Seems Mr. Powell does not want to be V.P.
