<<Ish did have something worthy to report and did so.>>

Thank you. My friend was over there to train Iraqi police and traveled all over the country in a convoy of 3 armored Suburbans with Strikers at the front and rear. His vehicle was equipped with a device that blew up the cell phone bombs along the road before they got to them.

New twist, now instead of placing the bomb next to the road they dig a hole in the road, bury the bomb and patch the road. A trigger wire extends upward that a Striker will clear but a Suburban won't as he found out, really first hand, when his vehicle had the front end lifted a foot off the ground. The armor worked and the only damage was a small leak to the radiator which didn't keep the vehicle from returning to base for repairs.
