Washington is a great restaurant town. We have a lot of French restaurants of various types, including an Alsation inn, run by immigrants. We have all manor of Italian restaurants, from essential pasta to esoteric Northern cuisine. A large influx of Hispanics has left us with a variety of Central American and Mexican restaurants. There are good Jewish delis, mainly near where I live, which is an area with a large concentration of Jews. There are a some excellent Middle Eastern restaurants, usually run by Lebanese, as well as some excellent Greek restaurants. Where I live is one of the best areas outside of New York's Chinatown for Chinese food. (There are an amazing number of Asians, especially Chinese and Indian, in my area.) All in all, there is a lot of choice, both in style and in price......
