09 Jul 2004 06:15 GMT - German May trade surplus 14.2 bln eur vs surplus 14.3 bln in April WIESBADEN, Germany (AFX) - Germany's trade surplus totalled 14.2 bln eur in May compared with 14.3 bln in April, while the current account showed a surplus of 8.8 bln compared with a surplus of 9.7 bln a month earlier, according to provisional figures from the Federal Statistics Office. Economists polled by AFX News forecast on average a trade surplus of 12.6 bln eur and a current account surplus of 6.2 bln. amk/jlw
