fellow Bronxite? Yeah, from da Bronx, and still alive to tell about it...spent my early childhood moving every year from 149st, 161st,(yes, Yankee stadium:), 173rd st until my folks found a stable neighborhood on Mosholu Parkway by Webster Ave...When I was 16, my friends and I payed off the ushers at Yankee stadium to watch Reggie Jackson claim his Mr. October prize...Dad was less than pleased<g> Close relatives got stuck on 183rd/Grand Concourse area where I spent much time...We're all out now but have many friends relatives who stayed or moved on up to Westchester... Pelham Pkwy..hmm...Orchard Beach was our getaway...a TOU violation to refer to it by its 'nicknames'<g> Do you have any relatives or friends still there?...you can PM as to not clutter the thread...always nice to meet a fellow Bronxer.
