If you don't think that Hollings was accusing the "Likudnik" neocons of dragging the US into an unecessary war - one that they, and Bush, knew beforehand was unececssary for America, for the sake of the Israel, then I don't think you read the piece at all carefully. I may be more attuned to this stuff than you are, but I really don't think I am imagining things. The far left is now openly anti-Semitic, and the more moderate Left is taking on the tropes and images in a more subtle fashion.
