Hi Art,

I said the carriers do not want alot of storage capacity on the phones. I didn't say they didn't want any. I really don't see the consumer wanting more than a 3 megapixel camera on their phone and the ability to store about 100 images, before they get home and can download them to their home computer. That can be accomplished easily with a 256 MB card with room to spare. Most folks will settle for half that. Larger than that and people will buy a real camera with real lenses that can take great pictures.

Sending and receiving pictures on a tiny cell phone is just a fad. Kid's stuff really.

I had the same opinion 3 or 4 years ago about flash cards for MP3 players and the market never materialized for them either. Now, everybody wants an Ipod.

What people really want is a cell phone that doesn't drop calls. Now if they had a card that would do that, Sandkisk would make Trillions!
