Jewel, actually, I am not taking a side in our hypothetical case. That would be for a court to decide. I thought it might make for a lively discussion. Moreover, I think it important for people to be aware that antibiotics can render birth-control pills ineffective, just in case their physician or pharmacist either forgets to tell them or just plain doesn't know to tell them (although I doubt there are any pharmacists who do not know this). - Holly
