That was in the context of comparing it to Germany- I was saying that EVEN if we let Iraq keep Kuwait it wouldn't have been WWII Germany. I wasn't arguing we should have let them have Kuwait. I would have thought that was obvious- but apparently not. I am on record supporting the UN push to get Saddam out of Kuwait, always, in every post I have ever written on the subject. You will never find a post by me not in favor of that action. When countries are invaded I support multilateral action to preserve the sovereignty of the attacked country, even if that country is a little despotic kingdom like Kuwait. I think the US aggression against Iraq was wrong for the same reason Saddam's action against Kuwait was wrong (and China's action against Tibet, and so on).
