I'm a strong centrist, not a liberal. I actively fought against Howard Dean as many on these threads can acknowledge, always calling him "too liberal". I am smack dab in the middle on most issues and conservative on economics. I am also much tougher than Bush on Al Qaida. Like Bob Graham and Richard Clarke said, Iraq was a distraction from the war on terror and drained our resources at a crucial point. As a result, Bush let most of Al Qaida get away, and now has given them their greatest recruiting tool ever. That's not left or right wing, that's just fact.

Ten,

Just finished reading The Da Vinci Code. Have you read it, and it so, what did you think?

John

PS Dan Brown may be the Michael Moore of the anti-Catholic crowd. But it's one hell of a page turner book.

AS, There is a rightwing bias in the media.
Only to extreme liberals like yourself. The polls say otherwise:

weeklystandard.com.
washtimes.com
mediaresearch.org;

Why am I not surprised that all three of the above our conservative outlets?

Its one thing to have a liberal bent in your personal views and voting habits, and its another to be unprofessional and show that bias on the air......the difference between a FOX and an NBC.

However, the rap sheet the right has tried to press on the mainstream media for the past ten years is that they are liberal and biased on the air. And for almost three years, it pretty much stuck. The right was successful in convincing the rest of us that liberal was a dirty word and the mainstream media was terribly left of center.

As a result, our media failed us at a critical juncture......they were working so hard to be so fair and patriotic, they allowed an American president to get away with bullsh*t.

Had they stopped to think, they would have realized that the right's argument that left is bad and right is good was a stupid one.

The reality: in the English language, the words liberal, progressive, innovator have a positive spin; the words conservative, traditionalist, reactionary, a less positive one.

So save the right's phony polls on the media........the professionals are CNBC, NBC, CBS etc. The unprofessionals......FOX News, NRO etc.

Dang! In fact, almost all the commentators on Fox are white......and the woman blonds with names like Laurie Dhue and Clara Heifer who just about snorts when she talks. The reason why......their constituency is white and they simply are reflecting their constituency. And you're telling me they are better representatives of 21st America and less biased?!!

Yeah, right.........and I have two freeways in OC I will sell you real cheap! ;~)
