I think your attitude may be a bit niggardly. He's been NC's senator for six years. Where does it say he must stay as its senator for the rest of his life?

Who said anything about staying the rest of his life? I just think it's a bit presumptuous for someone who admits he rarely votes in elections, to up and run for Senate one day, get elected (good looks and a so so opponent), spend 2, yes 2 years and then go out on his real quest for president.

Seriously, your argument is pretty weak. Like I said, if he had shirked his duties in the Senate, your criticisms may be apt but there is no evidence that he screwed around.

As for voting in elections, I think its too bad but do you think that a man with a bio that reads like his is as shallow as you are trying to make him?

Was anything accomplished for NC by visiting with the people in Iowa and all of the other campaign stops?

Did he do it on Senate time, or was the Senate in recess?

Nope, it's all about him, and he's been doing it for the last 4 years (66% of his only term). It was pretty obvious he didn't give a whit about being an NC senator, it was just the most convenient first step.

Would it been better if he started as a city councilman? When I started out as a project manager, do you think I did not have higher aspirations? Seriously, wanting to move up is not a crime in this country.

You can have him. Even if they manage to win, the upside for me is I can have a 2nd Senator that actually wants to do the job.

You may have two...........Edwards seat will be vacant. So its a win win all the way around. ;~)
