Independent Data on Fund Flows & Holdings

Equity funds report net cash inflows totaling $2.457 billion in the week ended July 7, with 76% going to funds investing in Domestic securities (33% going to Small Cap Growth funds);

Non-domestic funds report inflows of $599 million with $140 million going to the iShares MSCI EAFE Index fund;
Taxable Bond funds report net cash inflows totaling $956 million with the largest number of share-classes reporting inflows (1543) since 4/7/04;

Over 82% of the inflows went to Corporate Bond funds investing in High Yield securities ($440 Mil) and Investment Grade securities ($345 mil);

Money Market funds report inflows of $13.0 billion with 84% going to Tax-Exempt MM funds ($11.0 Bil), the largest inflow to the tax-exempt sector and the largest number of share-classes reporting inflows to the tax-exempt sector (398) since 1/8/03;

Municipal Bond funds report net cash outflows totaling -$110 Mil
