I agree with you, that is the question- and I do not think the outcome was certain enough to warrant the invasion and the nasty precedent for other countries to follow. I do HOPE Iraq turns out for the best- but I don't see much reason to think that hope is well placed. I think if more people realize just how much a matter of hope the whole thing is, we won't do such things in the future- which would be a good thing, imo.
