I have never seen you explain the distinction between the goats and the sheep with anything other than ignoring that fact.

Christ in Matthew 25 is explaining the judgment of the nations in their treatment of "Christ's brethren". It is however definitely based on works and not based on faith. Those who have not treated Christ's brethren well (the goats) will be "coming into chastening eonian" (greek kolasis aionian) Or in Young's Literal it's "punishment age-during). Again, the punishment is limited to the ages. And the ages will end.

Individuals are saved by faith in Christ. Not by works. Believers are saved.

Interestingly enough Brian, this particular passage starts with the phrase "Now whenever the Son of Mankind may be coming in His glory, and all the holy messengers with Him, then shall He be seated on the throne of His glory, and in front of Him shall be gathered all the nations...etc...

Isn't this all past history in your belief system? If all prophecy has been fulfilled, this particular judgement is history.

Anyway, this is a judgement of nations, not individuals. And the punishment will be during the ages, not for eternity.

Have a good weekend.

Hang in there Brian.

I realize the majority of men in America will come to believe in a God who will in the end forgive all men - they will believe in droves - because the alternative is to preach repentance.

Something America has no intention of doing.

Brian, the ungodly will not enter the kingdom. But all forms of ungodliness will be removed by the blood of Christ through His death on the cross. For the majority of mankind, it will be at the end of the ages. They will not see life during the ages. They will not live and reign with Christ. They will be vivified at the consummation of the ages. Your comment about men in America believing in the salvation of all in the end is without merit amongst believers in universal reconciliation. Without the willing confession and belief in Christ’s saving work DEATH WOULD REIGN SUPREME OVER ALL!

You still fail to believe that Christ will subject all sovereignty? Man's stubborn will is a sovereignty that Christ will subdue. Saul of Tarsus could not resist Christ and he termed himself "the chief of sinners". The worst of the worst. Christ had no trouble converting him into the apostle of the nations. And you still don't believe that He can subdue/convert all the other ordinary sinners? And yes, they will repent. Every knee shall bow and every tongue confess

You must understand the eonian times versus eternity. They are not the same thing!
