If things are truly as serious as the administration wants us to believe... then you'd think that they would want to get behind efforts such as these: ...urged Republican leaders to take up two homeland security bills, rail security and port security measures, but her effort failed. Both bills have been passed by the Senate Commerce Committee. "Here we are taking up things like class action reform and gay marriage when we are being called up to a secret meeting room to be told we need to be on guard about what might happen to our country," she said. "Sometimes you think you are in Alice in Wonderland." I would add that chemical plant security and nuclear plant security are likely our two areas of unaddressed vulnerability.

This is the kind of politics I REALLY hate. Seems at least some Democraps want Bush to be in a position of DAMNED IF YOU DO AND DAMNED IF YOU DONT.They have ABSOLUTELY NO CONCERN as to the WELFARE OF US CITIZENS. Really. Are you suggesting the Dems. don't have feelings? They don't care about their own families and friends? They don't care about his country? How about trying this one on for size...........the Bushies have cried wolf one too many times. And they seem to do it whenever they are having a problem with something else that's making them look bad. Like the Dem in the article said, what's changed in the past two weeks that caused the Bushies to reissue the same warning from last month? How ANYONE could vote for people like that is just beyond my comprehension. Ever since Clinton started it Politics in this country have become so mean spirited that decent folks are just plain disgusted. I know I am. jdn Clinton? What the fukk? Clinton?
