george,
I think both Embry and his manager Sprott are great. I only wish as a Yank I could invest in Sprott's gold fund. No can do at this time.

I am unsure of the stock you speak of. Please provide the symbol so I can do some DD. I have seen one interview with Embry and see his picks spoken of around on occasion but I don't get ROBTV either.
TIA,
Tom

George, prior to Embry joining Sprott he ran the RBC Precious Metals Fund for 15 odd years. I believe his average rate of return for that period was 30% or so. Eric Sprott himself has a similiar return on his Canadian Equity portfolio (it has only been a public fund for 5 or six years I believe, private prior to that). Both of these guys are at the top, IMO, of thier respective fields.

Also worth noting that Sprott has recently created an Energy fund as they believe the global supply/demand issues are favorable for investing.

I've been a fan of Embry's ever since his precious metals fund at RBC had the highest return a few years ago across North America. I think his fund returned over 125%. He is an old veteran of the gold market. He was onto EGO, SWG, WHT, at their infancy (I think). There was some controversy between Embry and RBC when Embry during his interviews claimed that the price of gold was being manipulated by the "powers that be". He then left to manage Sprott's precious metals fund after being approached by Eric Sprott who at the time felt strongly as Embry about the bull market in gold and other commodities.

Cheers,
John
