Thus far I've never had a feeling that your stuff *should* look any different than it does: looks great! Of course, like you, I'm on a Mac, and as you said, PCs are another matter altogether.

I may be dead wrong here (and if I am, please correct me, someone, I'm more than willing to change my ways) but seems to me the most "cross platform friendly" web color space I have found for my eyemods is "sRGB IEC61966-2.1". Not at all sure what this color space would do for your photos, Croc, but it sure seems to help mine to look the way I want them to, on my Mac and the friend's PC which I checked them on, last nite.
