But I happen to think that if the cause is just, no arm twisting and tit-for-tat negotiations will be necessary. People will volunteer to participate just because they believe in it.

It is better termed "The coalition of the Obliging" and perhaps "The purchased coalition".

Too bad Turkey valued its help so highly. What was it, 20 billion or so and the Turks still wouldn't "help." I guess they just didn't care enough about our taking out that terrible threat we said they suffered as a neighbor to Slammin Saddamy.

And then when they did have a price for sending in "troops," and we paid it, the silly Iraqis said no and it turned out we stupidly paid for something we couldn't use. Now who said you can't buy friends? I bet it was someone that wasn't willing to spend billions of dollars of American taxpayer money.
