Were any of your rights impinged? Were you deprived any of your civil liberties? Other than your personal reaction to completing the document, what salient reason(s) for repealing the Patriot Act did this incident raise? FWIW, 9/11 showed the reality of the global terrorist threat. Bin Laden & other terrorists have long ago publicly proclaimed they are at war with us. It is their intention to kill every one of us by any means necessary, including attacks that could cause catastrophic economic damage, making it easier for them to attack civilians again & again. And they are quite willing to die for their cause. As far as I'm concerned, some small inconveniences that do not impinge on my civil liberties are a small price to pay to assist my government in fighting the WOT.
