Politically Edwards might be a good choice but a VP choice is never a huge positive for a presidential candidate. A VP candidate can mess things up, but as long as the choice is decent and the VP candidate doesn't say anything horrendously stupid the VP candidate is unlikely to win any state for the presidential candidate. Maybe if the state was as close as FL was in the last election the VP candidate could make the difference but the last VP candidate that apparently won a state for his party was LBJ winning Texas. You're right but I think Edwards was a good choice for the country AND for NC if Brian's feelings are any indication of how other NCarolinians feel about Edwards. ted

A VP is mostly wallpaper, but that doesn't mean they don't make a difference. Remember these guys are selling image more than substance. John
