You don't have a right to blow someone away for walking around in a sky mask. If you own the store you have a right to order him to leave, but not just to see a ski mask and then shoot.

and what if he doesn't take off the ski mask?

is my perceived threat real then?

I'm saying if the state is going to charge him with a crime he should have committed that crime.

should not that be left to the courts to decide?

people get charged with crimes that they have not committed, nothing or unusual about that...

but you said earlier that you didn't think it was justified to charge him for just walking around the store in a ski mask....

how 'bout a bank?

if i own a bank should i be able to call the police and have the guy arrested?

what if some guy is skulking around in on the sidewalk watching your house.... wearing a ski mask? that ok too?

or would you call the police?

or do you have to *wait* until the guy pulls a weapon?

all i can say is if it's important to you to preserve your right to masquerade in a ski mask or any other kind of mask in a public or private establishment, so be it....just be aware there folks like me who might just be willing to shoot first and ask questions later

and whether the state preserves my right to defend my property as i see fit be damned....not waiting on the state to tell me what i can and cannot do when it comes to preserving my life or the life of others, i'll do what i feel is needed at the time, which probably would entail the masked person looking down the barrel of my gun
