Senator Rockefeller spoke for himself, not for the US Congress. He admitted later that he could not mathematically corroborate his statement but that he, for certain, would not have voted in favor of the bill authorizing American action in Iraq.

I doubt very seriously that Rockefeller is speaking for the majority on this issue. He is speaking for himself. And he is a Democrat.

You are right. We are not a nation of fools. Which means that we are capable of recognizing partisan passion when we hear it. Rockefeller admitted that he was speaking for himself. He has no way of knowing what his fellow senators would have done if the information available to them had been better.

So don't pretend otherwise. We suffer the consequences of our prejudice when we permit it to govern our own stupidity.

Do you consider are all of your pontifications in your
post to be factual, or are they more of your personal &
clearly "off topic" opinions?

If they are all facts, please link us to credible,
factually accurate evidence to support these POV's of
yours.

If they are all simply your personal opinion, please state
that they were posted here to establish that your POV's
are all clearly at odds with reality.

Either that or let me know that you have no intention of
being "on topic" on this thread.

Choose one of the above please.
