Iran know that using nukes against Israel would be suicidal. They must have another reason for wanting them.

They don't care! These leaders are suicidal. Plus they will go hide in caves. They will try to run the Jews out, and when that doesn't work, tell them to leave or Tel Aviv will be destroyed. They only have to hit Israel once. They figure the counter strike will result in a lot of martyrs. Long term, they win.

I think they've been pretty clear on that point. They can destroy Israel, but Israel can only wound Islam. In other words, a couple million dead would be payment well spent.
