Are you saying we ought to eliminate muni bonds?
Teresa only pays low taxes because she's heavy into muni bonds, loaning the government money basically. She's got the rest of it in charitable foundations and trusts. Her actual income is very small considering her net worth.

Totally agree with this. My point was is that Theresa Heinz-Kerry paid less than 1% of her net worth in taxes last year. I am sure that everything was done legally, but I feel that it is appropriate for her to release her tax returns.

And for all the other wealthy folks who keep on trying to stop the tax cuts.. Maybe if they had to pay at least 10% on their entire wealth, there would be much less caterwalling from them.
