Just giving you an honest assesment as to how it comes across to me. Not looking to cut you down, but I will point out how I percieve your views. And note also that I do it directly to you. Not "people with your views are........". Talking specifically of my impressions of Steve Dietrich, internet poster. "Compare that to what Pilch has to say to a fellow Christian who doesn't share all his beliefs:" He is not doing the same thing. Read his response to me (from earlier today) and you will see his perspective. His perspective is certainly different than yours, but he is giving her his honest view that "her" God is not "his" God if "her" God condones abortion. Don't like to speak for others, but I think Pilch firmly believes that God does not support abortion. My view would be that God does not support the killing of an unborn child either, but what do I know? He then goes on to say that "her" God is not worth a darn if he does condone such an act. Abortion is a contentious issue. I can see how people convince themselves that it is ok, and maybe it is a blob of cells that can be disposed of at will. I don't understand their thinking, but could see how they could get there. But I don't see how pro-abortion folks do not understand that some think life is precious, and once it gets going should be given a chance. It's a controversial topic, for sure. Read Pilch's explanation. I figured that is where he was coming from before he wrote it. But the post clears it up imo. In a politically correct world (which this thread fortunately is not) you might need to keep your opinions closer to the cuff. But here, people speak their minds. If she is comfortable with her views, his views should not hurt her.
