Many times I need to switch from User mode to Author mode before the page will fully load. Never hangs the page when I enter with [Preferences, Page Style, User Mode] but its clear with many blank areas that things did not initialize fully, and most times a simple click to select Author from User will automatically refresh the page, but sometimes I need to click for a refresh for it to happen. "... some things I had to do different in iHub's interface customization specifically because Opera was handling them incorrectly. I made a simple HTML page to show the bug and told the folks at Opera, but [the] bug [still] there and I'd never heard back. Haven't checked lately." re: Opera [handling] them incorrectly From opera.com Opera closely adheres to the standards issued by the W3C w3.org (World Wide Web Consortium) ... no bits or bytes [are] harmed [by Opera] Suggestion: Have Admin[Dave] review what you found, and if indeed the problem is on Opera's side, then have Admin[Dave] contact Opera as a web site administrator with their bug. Good chance the bug is a feature(aka bug) legalized by Microsoft :o) and Opera refuses to grant a pardon to a convicted code. Knowing that you have not a formal to-do list, but if you did, the first entry would say "do prior undone to-do list." So, here Admin[Dave] can come to da rescue like the cavalry. Task # 1 --------- on iHub click into a members profile after doing a Previous 50 make it so that the following is not again displayed Profile for --- Membership Type: PeopleMarks: etc etc Task # 2 --------- on iHub two identical member accounts, used for testing purposes on page: iHub Favorites for: --- each having same: Favorite Boards & Favorite People one has: You haven't added any Favorite Links yet. the other has: (25 or more favorite urls added) ok, Observe the resources iHub needs when these users switch from a board or member profile back to their Favorites page, that always displays: - Boards - People - Links Matt can ask folks on his Q&A board, if true: You visit your Favorites page: - 99% of the time for Boards and/or People, - 1% of the time just for Links. About a year ago I removed all my links because on my slow dial-up the time to enter my Favorites page took longer and longer as I added more links. Doug
