lorne, you need to read the commentary I posted with an open mind. In Saudi Arabia, there is a war for a power grab between two Islamic factions; the monarchy and the OBL sympathizers. Each need support from their masses. Hence they prove their ability to do something by beating up somebody else similar to gangs in US neighborhoods where they have initiation ceremonies.

The logic you put forth is in no way different from that of the Bushies. The mess that the US is in on the international front is due to the inability of this group to understand the international arena. US has lost its leadership role in the world. And Iraq is a mess. There was peace in Iraq before the US went in. There is chaos after the US left. And the threat of terrorism in the US is higher today than it was when Clinton left office.
